Mission, Vision and a Brief Description of Our Beliefs
Mission

“To Lead people into an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ”
Matthew 28:19-20
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Vision

“Create Environments where people can connect with God in all areas of Life”
Acts 15:19
“It is my judgment, therefore, that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.”
Living Word Church accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God and the all sufficient rule of faith and practice, for the purpose of maintaining general unity.

2 Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is _God breathed_ and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,”

Beliefs

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible, both the Old and New Testaments. God spoke the words to the individuals that wrote them down. The Bible is not a dual work, some by God and the rest by man as some like to refer to it as a “divine-human” product. God did not produce part of the Bible and man produce part of it. God “breathed out” all of it and told the writers what to write. The Bible is completely the work of God. His word will endure and it will stand forever.

We believe that Jesus is God come in the flesh and that He is both divine and human.
We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in Jesus’ virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, and His perpetual intercession for His people.
We believe in the saving power of the Blood of Jesus and His imputed righteousness. Part of the ministry of Jesus is to save us!
We believe that Christ Jesus ascended to the Father and is presently engaged in intercession for the saints.
Romans 8:34 “Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-- more than that, who was raised to life-- is at the right hand of God and is also _interceding_ for us.”

We believe in the visible, bodily return of Christ Jesus to this earth to judge the world and to rule in righteousness.

We believe the Holy Spirit to be the third person of the trinity whose purpose in the redemption of man is to convict men of sin, regenerate the repentant believer, guide the believer into ALL truth, indwell and give gifts to believers as He wills, that they may minister as Christ would to men.
We believe that the manifestations of the Holy Spirit recorded in I Corinthians 12:8-11 shall operate in present-day churches which yield to the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit IS NOT an “it”. The use of personal pronouns throughout Scripture regarding the Holy Spirit adequately proves the Holy Spirit is a person.

We believe that man, in his natural state and by choice, is a sinner, lost, undone, without hope, and without God.
We believe the terms of salvation are repentance toward God from sin, and a personal, heartfelt faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, which results in regeneration of the person. This salvation is entirely by grace of our Lord and not of works on our part. Works are excluded except as FRUIT of salvation.
